Description:

Dirithromycin is the second-generation erythromycin macrocyclic (fourteen-membered ring) lactone antibiotic, which is condensed into an oxazine ring at the C9 and C11 positions from 2-methoxyethoxyacetaldehyde and erythromycin The structure is similar to erythromycin. Non-enzymatic hydrolysis in the body to erythromycin cyclic amine, which inhibits the process of bacterial transpeptidation by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of sensitive pathogenic microorganisms, inhibits protein synthesis, and is antibacterial.
