Description:
Fluconazole is a new triazole antifungal agent with broad-spectrum antifungal activity. It is a systemic antifungal product. It has high selectivity to the inhibition of fungal cytochrome P-450 dependent enzyme. It is also a potent and specific inhibitor of fungal alcohol synthesis. It is mainly used for vaginal candidiasis, thrush, atrophic oral candidiasis, fungal meningitis, pulmonary fungal infection, abdominal infection, urinary tract infection and skin fungal infection.
Function:
1.It is effective for deep infection fungi with strong antifungal effect and good oral absorption.It is mainly used for candidiasis and cryptococcosis and is also effective for oropharyngeal candidiasis in cancer patients.
2.It has high antimicrobial activity against white spherococcus and cryptococcus.
3.It inhibits ergosterol synthase, a necessary component of fungal cell membrane, hinders ergosterol synthesis, destroys the integrity of fungal cell wall, and inhibits its growth and reproduction.
4.It has strong antimicrobial activity against Candida albicans, Microsporidia, Cryptococcus neoformans, Tinea epidermidis and Histoplasma capsulatum, etc.
