Description:
The average molecular weight of PHMB is 1100 ~ 1800, the molecular formula is (C8H17N5) N xhcl, N = 12-16. Polyhexamethylene biguanidine hydrochloride (PHMB) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that kills Gram-positive Bacteria, Gram-negative, fungi and yeasts.
PHMB is recognized as the safest and the most efficient broad-spectrum antibacterial agent in the 21st century. It is colorless and tasteless, low bacterial inhibition concentration, broad spectrum, low toxicity.It can form a layer of cations on the surface of article, which can inhibit bacteria for a long time. It also has no bacteria drug resistance.
IV. Application
The product can be widely applied in the fields of daily chemical industry, water treatment, textile, papermaking, petroleum,agriculture, husbandry, health care etc. It is often used as sanitary wet wipe bactericides, fruit, vegetable and aquatic product disinfectants, sewage treatment flocculation disinfectants etc.

Application:
Polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride (PHMB) has been widely used in medicine as a bactericidal preservative. Used as a medical product for disinfecting contact lenses, eye drops, and surgical procedures. Due to the strong tolerance of PHMB to the eye, it can be used as a treatment of Acanthamoeba keratitis, prevention and treatment of other eye diseases, and PHMB is also widely used in cosmetics, personal care products, textiles, food industry and other Chemicalbook. With the development of science and technology, polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride has many new applications. Examples include as a flocculant, in swimming pools and industrial water treatment as a bactericidal algicide, in oil injection water as a fungicide, and can be used to clean and remove harmful substances on glassware and other hard surfaces.
