Description:
Nifedipine also known as Xintongding, Lixinping and Nifedipine, is a dihydropyridine calcium antagonist that inhibits the uptake of Ca2+ by myocardial and vascular smooth muscles, dilates coronary arteries, increases coronary blood flow, and improves myocardial function. Ischemic tolerance, at the same time can expand the surrounding small arteries, reduce peripheral vascular resistance, relieve coronary spasm, increase coronary flow, improve myocardial hypoxia, and thus lower blood pressure.
Function:
1. Selectively inhibit the calcium influx of myocardial cell membrane, block the excitation-contraction coupling of myocardial cells, weaken myocardial contractility, reduce myocardial energy and oxygen consumption, and directly protect myocardial cells by preventing calcium overload.
2. Inhibit the excitation-contraction coupling of blood vessels, bronchial and uterine smooth muscle, dilate systemic blood vessels (including lung, liver, kidney, brain, femoral and mesenteric arteries) and coronary arteries. Its mechanism of dilating vascular smooth muscle is complex
1) Prevent calcium influx
2) hinder the release of calcium in the cell wall
3) Block α-adrenergic receptors on the vascular membrane
4) Inhibit the activity of phosphodiesterase
5) Interact with Calmodulin
6) Activate Na+, K+, ATPase
7) Activation of calcium ion pump
3. Inhibition of platelet aggregation Nifedipine can inhibit the aggregation of human platelets induced by ADP and collagen at a concentration of 50 μg/mL.
